In Greek and Roman mythology, the
Oceanids were the three thousand
children of the Titans
Oceanus
and
Tethys.
Each of these Nymphs were patrons of a
particular spring, river, ocean, lake,
pond, pasture, flower or cloud.
Nymphs are mythological nature
spirits that appear as beautiful
young women. They are divided into
types.
Dryads (Forest) - Naiads (Spring &
Rivers) - Nereids (The Mediterranean) -
Oceanids (The Sea) - Oreads (The
Mountains) - Limoniads (Meadows) -
Limniads (Lakes, Marches and Swamps) -
Napaea (Valleys)

The Oceanid
This Oceanid has been constructed over a
strong wire amateur for durability. Her hair
is custom hand made of the highest quality
of Tibetan Lambs Wool in an ivory
color into a tiny wig, styled and accented
with sea shells and champagne colored
pearls. Around her neck she's wearing a long
chain made from gold sea beads and champagne
colored pearls. Summer's tail fins have been
constructed with wire and translucent
materials and then painted in shades of
ivory and coated with golden glitter and
sealed. The eyes have
different shades of brown and ivory with a
slightly hint of sparkles. The entire face
has been hand painted and sealed as well.
The Tea Cup & Saucer
This beautiful set of Tea Cup &
Saucer is a collectable item made by
Royal Sealy Japan. The color is an
old yellow trimmed with gold.
This Oceanid is a one of a kind Hand
Sculpted creation straight from the artist's
imagination without the use of molds.
